BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION:

Education:  Doctor of Jurisprudence, Indiana University School of Law at Indianapolis, May 1993, cum laude.  Bachelor of Arts (History), Indiana UniversityPurdue University at Indianapolis, December, 1982.  Attended the University of Chicago, 1978-1980.

Judicial Experience:  Judge Pro Tem, Marion County Superior Court.

Significant Legal Accomplishments:  In my fourteen years as an attorney, I have practiced law before the United States Supreme Court, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court, and the Indiana trial and appellate courts.  I have vigorously defended victim’s rights as a deputy prosecutor, individual rights as a public defender and private practitioner, and the rights of city and county employees as the Chief Litigation Counsel for the City of Indianapolis.  I also served Governors Frank O’Bannon and Joe Kernan and Attorneys General Jeff Modisett and Karen Freeman-Wilson in key policy-making positions.

Personal Statement:  Judges should have a sincere dedication to public service and a commitment to fostering a legal system that ensures fairness for all.  I have endeavored to live up to these principles throughout my legal career.
