BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION:

Education:  Wabash College 1987 B.A. History, IU School of LawIndianapolis 1995.

Judicial Experience:  

Significant Legal Accomplishments:   I have prosecuted and defended over 100 bench trials and approximately 30 jury trials.  As a deputy prosecutor, I was the recipient of the “Hard Time Award” from Scott Newman for trying 10 sex crimes jury trials in a five-month period. 

Other Legal Involvement:  Member of Solo/ Small Firm and Litigation Sections of the Indianapolis Bar Association, Member of Indiana State Bar Association, Adjunct professor at IUPUI teaching Introduction to Law

Personal Statement:  As a trial lawyer in both public and private practice, I have appeared in courtrooms throughout central Indiana.  My experience has given me a broad perspective on the practice of law and the decorum of the courtroom.  More importantly, I have developed a deep respect and confidence in the litigation process and the rule of law.  As an elected official, I will bring deference to the process and respect for all parties and officers of the court.
