Judicial Experience:
Mark King has been a pro tem over the past several years in Marion County Superior Court Civil and Criminal Divisions at the Felony and Misdemeanor levels.
Significant Legal Accomplishments:
Mark King has been a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Allen County, Tippecanoe County and Marion County. As a Marion County Deputy Prosecutor he was designated the Gang Prosecutor and helped to coordinate federal and state law enforcement in an ongoing effort to disrupt violent gang activity. Mr. King’s accomplishments include the successful supervision of a federal and state investigation of corruption at the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles that led to the conviction of over two-dozen individuals involved in fraud and bribery at BMV licensing branches. Mark King has also worked as an Indiana Deputy Attorney General and a Public Defender in Marion County
Other Legal Involvement:
Mark King is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association.
Personal statement:
I am a Gulf War veteran who is dedicated to service to the public. In furtherance of service to the legal community, I serve as a pro tem judge as often as needed. By sitting as a pro tem judge and through my experience having been both a prosecutor and defense attorney I have attained the skills and knowledge to serve our community as a Marion County Superior Court judge.
