BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION:

Education: 1994, Valparaiso University School of Law

Judicial Experience: Heather is nearing 5 full years experience serving as Master Commissioner for Judge David Dreyer, Marion County Superior Court Civil 10, and Judge Tanya Walton Pratt, Marion County Superior Court, Criminal 1. She has conducted over 70 jury trials to date, and has presided over hundreds of trials and hearings to date as a judicial officer.

Other Legal Involvement: A member in good standing of the Indiana State Bar Association. A member in good standing of the Indianapolis Bar Association. Member, Legal Ethics Committee, Indiana State Bar Association; Member, Improvements in the Judiciary Committee, Indiana State Bar Association; Member, Criminal Justice Section, Indiana State Bar Association; Member, Executive committee of the Women in Law Division, Member, Indianapolis Bar Association; Member, Criminal Justice Section, Indianapolis Bar Association. Served on the 2005 Bench Bar Programming Committee. Represents the Indianapolis Bar Association as a delegate at the Indiana State Bar Association House of Delegates. A member of the Indianapolis Bar Association Diversity Committee. A frequent speaker at the Indianapolis Bar Association and ICLEF. Volunteer at the Reach for Youth Teen Court. A member of the Criminal Law Jury Instruction Committee at the Indiana Judicial Center.

Personal Statement: In early 2001, Heather was appointed as Master Commissioner for Judge Tanya Walton Pratt and Judge David Dreyer, and has remained in that capacity since. This experience has made her uniquely qualified and experienced to preside over cases involving most any subject matter, whether it is civil or criminal in nature.
