BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION:

Education:  J.D., December 1987, Indiana University School of Law, Bloomington, IN

Judicial Experience:  Elected to bench in 2000.  Served in Marion Superior Court, Criminal Division Room 17 (Domestic Violence Division) from January 2001 to December 2003.  Currently serve in Marion Superior Court, Criminal Division Room 3 (Major Felony Division) from January 2004 to present.

Significant Legal Accomplishments:  June 1987-December 1990: Intern & Deputy Prosecutor, Marion County Prosecutor's Office. January 1991-December 1994: Chief Deputy, Johnson County Prosecutor's Office. January 1995-December 2000: Felony Chief & Chief Trial Deputy, Marion County Prosecutor's Office. Prosecuted criminal cases for over 13 years.  Supervised and trained attorneys in trial practice work.

Other Legal Involvement:  Indianapolis Bar Association: Criminal Justice Section, Indiana State Bar Association, Marion County Bar Association, National Association of Women Judges, Pro Bono Project: Advisory Board Member,  Indiana Criminal Justice Institute: Board of Trustees, Judicial Conference of Indiana: Jury Rules Committee.

Personal Statement: Have spent entire legal career (over 18 years)  working in criminal courtrooms, first as a trial attorney and then as an elected judge.  Understand the importance of having a fair and impartial judicial officer on the bench.  Strive to maintain a courtroom that is both fair and efficient to all.
